About and Editorial Standards
WhereToLive.us is an independent U.S. relocation-research product published by Moulton Holdings LLC. It helps readers compare cities with source dates, geography, methodology, and limitations kept beside the numbers.
How information is selected
Primary public sources come first. Current production layers use U.S. Census Bureau population estimates, ACS place estimates, Census Gazetteer files, and BLS unemployment series. Planned layers are not presented as live facts until their licensing, geography, refresh process, and caveats are verified.
Automation and human review
Deterministic software matches public geographic records, calculates disclosed derived signals, and renders the nationwide catalog. Automated validation checks coverage, duplicate identifiers, numeric ranges, route generation, source labels, and known edge cases. Material methodology, source, policy, and monetized-page changes receive a manual review before deployment.
Editorial independence
Advertising does not control city scores, rankings, source selection, caveats, or correction decisions. Ads are permitted only on an explicit, reviewed subset of content pages and are excluded from legal, contact, error, navigation-only, and unfinished screens.
Corrections
Corrections are checked against primary evidence and, when material, recorded in the project history and reflected in the affected source layer or explanation. Use the Contact and corrections page and include the affected URL, value, source, and source date without sending sensitive personal information.
